Spring Update

Hello friends,
We wanted to give you a quick update on everything Biscuits & Gravy. It may be early, but we’re getting busy this Spring already. We’ve recently played some amazing shows in Boston and New York – Thanks to all the fans who joined us at the Middle East and at Sullivan Hall!! We had a blast and we can’t wait to do it again… Which is why we’ve booked another huge show in just TWO WEEKS. On Saturday, April 14th, we’ll be joined by our friends Love in Stockholm and Cosmodrome as we break musical ground at the Davis Square Theater in Somerville! We know this is going to be an incredible show so we’ve got some pre-sale tickets for those of you that don’t want to miss out. They’re just $12 so to grab yours and guarantee you get in, just email info@biscuitsandgravymusic.com or contact any B&G member. We can’t wait to see you out there!
In addition to our Spring shows, we’ve also entered the College Battle contest and we need your help!! This contest puts band against band in an online contest to earn a tour spot with Live Nation and free recording time with an amazing set of producers and engineers that have worked with U2, Adele and more… The contest winners are determined by number of plays and by rating, so keep listening to our tunes and rate us a 5 at http://www.collegebattleofthebands.com/Biscuits__Gravy/. With your help, we can take the gravy train to the next level with a national tour!
AND, since we know you’ve all been waiting to hear our debut album, we’ve been working hard to put on the finishing touches. Expect to hear a new single soon and a whole new album in the near future! We’ll be sure to let you know about the album release and all that will follow for B&G, so stay tuned. We can’t wait to share all our hard work with you.
Thanks for all your support and here’s to a bright future! We love you all,
B&G
Interview with Graziella Buontempo
Biscuits goes international!! With “Hello Weekend” coming closer to fruition everyday, we’ve done a couple of interviews to prepare for the release. The first of these was just posted by Graziella Buontempo all the way from Paris! Graziella is more than an excellent writer, she’s a music and art connoisseur. We feel pretty lucky to be featured on her site… Plus, she says lots of nice things about us:
“My first encounter with Biscuits & Gravy was like traveling back in time to a Beatles or Rolling Stones concert, with swarms of groupies screaming and immolating their bodies to the rising gods of rock ‘n roll. This young, diversely vibrant group of seven from Boston blends into a sole volcanic ensemble on stage, bringing together a shared passion for music, groovy, deliciously funky tunes and a dazzling, galvanizing energy. Playing with multiple instruments ranging from bass to alto sax, and with enticing, warm vocals, Biscuits & Gravy are able to set on fire any crowd . With an upcoming album (“Hello Weekend”) in the making, this high-powered, explosive group ignites the East coast scene and is getting ready to conquer it all.”
You can check out the whole interview on her site GRAZIELLABUONTEMPO.COM. Stay tuned to BiscuitsAndGravyMusic.com for more updates on our spring endeavors and make sure to check out our UPCOMING SHOWS page to catch a show near you.
Much love!

New Spring Shows!
“Spring is coming fast, I better get my chirp up…”
January was awesome. That pretty much sums it up. After rocking Gillette Stadium on New Years Day, we kept on rolling. A HUGE Saturday night at Sullivan Hall in NYC kept the energy up and a new experience this past weekend at Middlebury College in Vermont proved to be a great time. As we turn the corner into February, the question arises: How will the Gravy Train keep up all this momentum going into the Spring? The answer is simple: Play a bunch of shows.
With our debut album “Hello Weekend” on the way, we’ve lined up a set of big shows in a variety of locations. We have Boston shows for you in March, April and May but first, we’re starting things tonight in Manchester, New Hampshire. At 9pm this evening, B&G hits at The Shaskeen with several sets of original and cover music to help you dance the night away. If you’re in the area, come check us out!!
In just over a month, we hit the first of three Boston shows with our good friends Cosmodrome on March 10th at The Middle East Upstairs. Whenever we get together with these guys, it’s a guaranteed good time – don’t miss out. Next, it’s back to our home away from home: Sullivan Hall. After a massive show a couple of weeks ago, we’re expecting a HUGE turnout for our next Sullivan show on Friday, March 23rd. Things should be thawing out by then and there isn’t much better than NYC in the spring time. We’ll see you there.
Once we’re back home, we’ll be pioneering new ground in Boston music as we perform at the grand opening of the Davis Square Theater in Somerville on April 14th. We’re excited to show our classiest side in this historic venue. Finally, we’ll close out our Spring push with a guaranteed get-down at Church on May 25th.
That’s all we have lined up for now but it’s looking like it’s going to be a good Spring. To stay up to date on where we’re playing, stay tuned to our shows page and, of course, follow us on Twitter and Facebook!!
We’ll see you out there!

A January Update
It’s been a very exciting start to 2012 for B&G already!
On New Years Day, we were fortunate enough to play the pre-game show for the final Patriots game of the season at Gillette Stadium. Needless to say, it was awesome. With a sea of Pats fans below us, we got down on a bunch of Biscuits favorites and threw in a few covers for good measure. Right before our set, we got to spend a little time on the field in an empty Gillette Stadium. It was surreal. Thanks to all the fans that stuck around to watch the show and to the incredible staff that helped us out. Special thanks to the Patriots for winning… but hey, that’s what they do.
This past weekend, we performed at Sullivan Hall in NYC, which is by far one of my favorite venues. The vibe was right and the energy was way up (local favorites Yellowcake hyped up the crowd before us) and the night kept going after us with an incredible set by Urban Sun (everyone make sure to check those guys out). It was one of the best times we’ve had yet in our second home, the Empire State. After some late night wandering through the action-filled streets of the Big Apple, we trekked back to Boston, tired but victorious. Don’t worry New Yorkers, we’ll be back as soon as we can.
This Friday, we’re keeping this gravy train rollin’ as we make our next stop at Middlebury College in Vermont. Then, it’s off to New Hampshire next Thursday. For any of our fans in the Vermont or New Hampshire areas, please come out and say hey!! If you hit us up before, we’ll get you all the info so you can see how B&G throws down college-style.
See you on the dance floor,
Sam R-P
